Let me start off by saying, I love this game. I'm extremely picky about my RPGs. For me to love it, I need story (usually fantasy-based), good mechanics, decent graphics, and a good leveling system. This game delivers on all of that. Sure, it's not as crispy as games coming out today, but for an eight year old game, I still think it's beautiful. Another plus for me is the replay factor. I've replayed this probably four or five times and I never get tired of it. There are only a handful of games that I can do that with: god of war, horizon zero dawn, skyrim, final fantasy ix/x, kingdom hearts, the Witcher 3, and this.
I didn't play this game until about five years after it released and I was like..."why on earth didn't I play this when it came out?" I then I realized that it was probably overshadowed by Skyrim. And after playing skyrim when it came out, then playing this several years later, this honestly has an edge over Skyrim for me.
If you are looking for a massive, open world, beautiful, fantastical game, I can't recommend this highly enough!
