Sandra Padley

Seen episode 1-3 for lack of anything else to watch. It's not great so far. Cannot bear Beecham wearing that very dirty coat …(and hat, Indiana Jones style). Nothing against Lesley Nichol, but having seen her play the cook on Downton Abbey for so long, she just doesn't fit into the role of Beecham's mother. Agree with most people's comments here about wooden acting and the epic scenery alone can't carry this off. There's no excitement, weak storyline and generally very flat. I think we were all expecting a lot more punch or spice
