This movie is meh. Dad wants daughter to be innocent. Dad tries solving case himself. Even though this is a movie, there are no twists and turns. There is a beautiful side story where dad could have another chance at a complete family, but there are no happy endings here. Story was monotone. Matt Damon carried this movie, if it was anyone else I would've cut mid way when the "very mild" twist was foreseeable. I actually feel bad for the dad in the end. There are no special characters, no hidden agendas, no shocking surprises. You just feel sad at a certain point where Dad has a fallout with his Paris family. My emotions were, "oh", "awwww, that's sweet" , "damn, that's a little sad", "really bro".
