Simply put it's my favorite film ever made. I just can't get enough of it. I watch it all the time, for decades. It's the coolest film ever made and the look and feel of it is like no other. It's the ultimate L.A. film. Richard Gere gives an electric performance, unlike anything he's ever done before or since. It's a work of art and it's also sensational and sexy as all hell. The soundtrack is killer, just perfect. McBride is an auteur waiting to be discovered. I can't say enough of this film. Silver Surfer fans should also check this out.

Not bad but not really good either. It has funny moments and the Lion scenes are crazy, but the direction is just too middle of the road. De Niro is easily the best thing in the movie.

Melodramatic, silly and over the top, but also brilliant. Douglas Sirk at the very top of his game. The cinematography is magnificent!

Visconti is one of cinema's greatest sensualist. His films are filled with such unbelievable beauty that you forget that his films are also very smart and deeply insightful. This is a great lost work of art. Burt Lancaster is superb here, just like in the Leopard, Visconti's greatest triumph.

I love Terrence Malick, but his last two films- Wonder and Cups, were a challenge to watch the first time around, but they reveal themselves after second and or third viewings. Song to Song was an even a harder film to get into the first time watching it, but I swear I found it to be a revelation the second time around. I really loved it. It's so beautiful.

Much better than I thought it would be. Smartly written, although at times dry. I enjoyed it.

Warren Beatty does a tremendous job in recreating this world, and his direction is top notch, but the real surprise is how brilliant he is in his portrayal of Bugsy. Benning is fantastic as well.
