This expansion fixed a lot of the issues of Destiny 2. The story was interested and was one you could actually get invested in, there were brand new activities that made the game more varied and fun and overall the game saw a major improvement with this expansion. The new weapon system is incredible and gives players brand new ways to play with their favourite guns. The new subclass trees gave us creative new super abilities and the expansion also brought a bunch of new exotic weapons and armour to play around with. The expansion wasn't all good however. Crucible was damaged by the new weapon system with the introduction of one hit kill weapons and scavenger perks giving players tons of ammo for those weapons. Gambit seemed like an interesting concept but I personally find a lack of enjoyment from the mode and often see playing it as a chore when it is required by quests. Overall the expansion was very positively received and fixed many of the issues of the game while simultaneously paving the way for a better future for the Destiny franchise. TL;DR Most of the new stuff was good, Gambit could be better, Crucible is worse for wear and I still miss Cayde. (8.5/10)
