More than impressed with Ms Kravitz directorial debut. It was a fresh take on the genre where the “victimized”. Character gets their own back. More nuanced than Django, offered from the female perspective and anchored in a real world scenario where the ultra rich live outside of acceptable societal boundaries due to elites beliefs and self entitlement. Could not be more aligned to the current news if it was based on a real story. I hope our director is able to stay true to her vision in future projects.

Every character is compelling, every episode feels fresh, tension filled and unexpected. Beautifully written, filmed, produced and performed. It is a fresh take on a common genre and it is power packed with three dimensional characters. It would only benefit by a longer run time per episode to more fully flesh out all of the characters which would address the one minor flaw. No backstory on the Special Ops team, their relationship to their Leader, each other and the influence they have on the newest Lioness. Needs more time, more space to expand on themes, character threads etc. Will help to veer away from cultural stereotypes and overused characterizations and story lines in future episodes. Hope it is renewed for another season.

Excellent! It immediately draws you into the characters the setting. It's an interesting take on the Pete Davidson persona in that is creates context to a reality where Pete Davidson's public image has backstory, a universe of family and friends and supports the multi-layers of Pete. He's no longer just the SNL comic whose father died in 911. The portrayal in Bupkis shows a 3 dimensional man just trying to get through life dragging his bagging with him, like the rest of us. Superior television.

Taylor Sheridan has proven himself to be a master story teller. The perspective he brings to his material resonates on so many levels and the quality of the characters is incomparable. 1883 has a cast that includes, the always marvellous, Sam Elliot and he is surrounded by a cast of actors who round out a stellar group, exceptional. I enjoy Yellowstone immensely but somehow Taylor Sheridan has exceeded even that high quality show. It's pure, classic story telling, compelling, engaging, impressive. I am a life long fan.

This show was a late discovery for me and I was not disappointed. It was so much more than anyone could expect from a series and I truly wish it had survived the first year cut. It would have found an audience and likely received accolades from critics and rightly so. It was a robust story line with a sci fi backdrop with fully fleshed out characters and award worthy performances from it's cast. Just speaks to how quality television is not given a chance to take hold in the minds and hearts of the audience. I am sure that during these trying times, this show would have been a huge hit. It just dropped a year too early.

It is as close to a perfect film as we have seen in a long time. Exquisite cast and a story executed with nuance, humor and an prevailing feeling of love for a time and place long gone but whose influence reverberates through the soul and story of this film. The look and feel as much a member of the cast as the actors themselves and helped to transport the watcher to a magical place. Branagh is an understated master film maker with this ode to his childhood. I left feeling better off for having watched it.
