Very believable depiction of immediate post-WWII life in Berlin. Except for the two-handed holding of pistols exhibited by the main character, a supposed NYC cop. The Modern Technique of wielding a pistol with two hands was not even developed until well into the 1950s. I deplore anachronisms in historically based dramas. That said, the acting and writing are superb, IMO. I usually stay away from heavily subtitled shows, but this one moves fluidly back and forth between English and German subtitles, even DURING a conversation the German subtitled actor will suddenly speak in English. I like this type of presentation. The plot fits well within what could have been 1945/6 Berlin. Yes, the violence is substantial, but this also fits with what one would imagine a winding down of WWI would be like where the battles took place and in the FINAL city to be captured.
