Most things have been said in the reviews before this one. But one that i must repeat… the fast forward button will be your friend. Nan was just a terrible character. Self centered and annoying i must say. She is the definition of toxic! And at this moment my heart breaks for the Duke. I hope in s2 he gets to meet someone who will love him back because as for Nan… i wash my hands off her. I understand the duke had to marry but nan knew she didnt love him and despite being asked to provide an answer about whether she loves him and will marry him, she went on to just marry him after having slept with Guy! Anyway, to each their own. This series didn’t imprint itself into my head like the gilded age that presented the Americans way better.

Ehh it wasnt captivating. With the hype it received...i was disappointed. The female lead annoys me so much and her reasons for refusing the relationship are mediocre. I was excited that their love began from the first episode thinking afterwards its just them against the world but no. Anyway stopped after the 5th episode. I wasnt even excited to go to the other episodes. ..eh

Personally, the show looked and felt promising in the begining and i really liked the main characters. But as it progressed, the show didnt have me hooked anymore. I found myself more frustrated by it and the ending.....what a bummer. They should have offered something more than they showed. Its like they just wanted to wrap this up and get it over with. The last episode was touching, yes, but it wasnt that worth the wait. Nevertheless, it was a great show. I enjoyed the different characters as well as the relationship between Ko Mi Ran and her brother.
