From a purely secular point of view, the movie about the rise of Lucifer and the beginning of the Unholy Apocalypse is reliant on church themes too much.
From an unbiased point of view,
playing on 90's paranoia about Y2K and crossing it with the Christian Holy Grail of Horror ( rise of Lucifer, beginning of the Unholy Apocalypse thing I mentioned) was pretty great.
As far as Arnold Schwarzenegger movies go, I absolutely loved this one.
Compared to most of his over-top-action-comedy-kids movies, this was a breath of fresh air.
The only decent 'Satan Rises' movie I've seen since this one was the Keanu Reeves vehicle, Constantine.
It has it's cheese, but that's why wine was invented.
For the detractors, grab you a plate and a glass and enjoy it.
This is the opinion of one man, please judge the movie for yourself, and with fresh eyes.
