I thought this movie was pretty decent and somewhat terrifying, but not so great. I first heard of The Banana Splits when they premiered on Boomerang but I never grew up in the 60s when they debuted. I'm sure people who grew up watching this program really loved them and enjoyed their music when they were kids. But when I first heard of the movie with The Banana Splits being in it, I thought it was going to be a regular remake and appropriate kids movie until I saw the trailer and I was like "What the heck did I just watch?" Especially the cover of the DVD with Bingo holding the ax, Drooper with sharp teeth and holding a deadly hammer, Snorky aside, and Fleegle looking like the animatronic characters from Five Nights At Freddy's. So I'm not scarred from watching this movie because I didn't grow up watching the series in the 60s. But if you people out there who grew up watching The Banana Splits Show and you still love these characters, I suggest you don't watch this movie because you will be scarred forever and who knows, if you ever see any people dressed up as The Banana Splits maybe at amusement parks, you could be terrified or not.
