A hilarious time capsule of 90's Los Angeles. Stars Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn's first big break as twenty-somethings in the dating scene. They tackle relatable situations such as how long to wait before calling a someone after getting their phone number, and an impromptu drive to Vegas. The soundtrack features a great selection of classic 40's swing and a cameo in the movie by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Favreau (director and star) would go on to jump start the current Marvel Cinematic Universe by directing Iron Man (2008). This was one of the first "indie" movies I saw, made by passionate young filmmakers who wrote what they know, in the style of Clerk's. It also has one of the best videogame scenes in movie history.
