I hate to be "that person", but if you have read the book, you will be disappointed. There are quite a few differences. But if you havent read the book it's pretty cool. Although the ending was very lacking either way. My 8 year old was riveted by the book, but really didn't watch the movie.

This has been one of my favorite movies since I was a child. My parents rented the VHS at the local store so many times, I cant even remember. And now my daughter loves it as well. Fascinating movie!! The music adds to the overall story. Great haunting, sorrowful music. Such an incredibly done movie.
