It looks extremely good-no complaints there. The costumes, military hardware, Rome & the coloseum again-no complaints. The dialogue & plot stinks. There is a lack of substance & soul in the whole affair that makes the movie come across for what it is is, a superficial, rushed cash-in on the original, which itself wasn't the greatest movie for sticking even closely to the actual history, but it did possess gravitas. Gladiator 2 left me with the sense of having seen a super hero movie set in a mythical ancient world.

Not one of the best Carry Ons, but still very watchable as an historical piece on 70's attitudes still proudly displaying the sexual innuendos & mores of British society, before the chill winds of the Thatcherite recession years blew it all away, to be replaced by the PC new wave 'comedy'

Not sure of what people are criticizing here. Its an adrenaline rush Zombie action movie-not Shakespeare. Again, criticism of the photography with 'dead pixels', but again, that's the director's vision of how he wanted it to look-off kilter & slightly surreal-which didn't bother me in the slightest. It is what it is, without any pretentions of deep intellectual thought. Just leave your brain at the door and rock with it.

Typical MCU movie. Long. Loud. Brash. Shallow. Lacked the emotional depth of the first movie. But you get what you pay for.

Killing Eve received the inevitable critical backlash for Season 2, after its first incredible outing, & continues with mixed reviews for the latest one. But it's remained fresh, vibrant and utterly original in it's blend of wicked black humour, extreme violence, & weird & wonderful characters.

WhileTerminator:Dark Fate doesn't give up any mind splitting revelations on the original premise, it is a decent modern CGI top heavy action movie. But there's the rub, lots of CGI which smooths, glosses & takes away the immediacy of reality. You know you're seeing a fake created inside a computer. Which come to think of it, is rather ironic.

Been there, seen it, done it kind of retread. Lack of menace, cohesion & the director/writer knowing what he wanted to make.

A plodding, amiable, tick all the boxes mediocrity. The main leads are well defined, but everything else is unengaging, shallow flimflam. It lacks the sharpness, humour & well defined characterisation of Death in Paradise.
