If you like action sequences then you will enjoy this. If you want a reasonable story then look elsewhere. Over hyped and in the end a waste of 3 hours. They could have told the “story” in an hour and a half easily. The action is impressive but the lack of cohesive story really let this down for us . The first 3 movies were good , now it is just ridiculous - makes Fast X look like a realistic movie.

Watchable but only just. Slow script , unconvincing actors and too many changes from the original miniseries that I love. Donald Sutherland is not Straker and seems more comedic than creepy like in the original. No chills or jumps at all . All watching this version has done for me is make the original seem even better.

Wanted to watch this so much from all the prerelease hype. Sad to say that was about right. Even rating it B grade, it would be a bad B grade, not one of the ones where it is so bad it is worth watching. I don't know where they went so wrong. From the bad acting to the whisper thin plot changes it seems so badly thought of. So many times I wanted it to do something different and new but never to be. The effects are good but cartoonist good not real zombie gore good. Why they decided with new singers for most of the backing songs baffled me - they were terrible. A complete waste of time and a disappointing attempt at a zombie movie. Gone are the days of great zombie and horror movies from the likes of Romero, Fulci, Bava and Argento,. The intro though fairly well thought out as a way of introducing the original zombie was bad really. How so many ppl completely ignored blinding headlights directly in front of them for so long was ridiculous. Then of course the obvious orders to stay away from the payload with the door open and ignoring the order. Dumb at its best. Hopefully there will never be a sequel.
