If you can tolerate the CW soap opera aspects, this is is a great approach to the legend of Superman. This first season has been full of surprises, great performances (Tyler Hoechlin completely personifies the character of Superman like no other, even if his shaver is apparently broken for good) and solid storytelling. I've not watched a lot of the Arrow-Verse shows so I come into this show with no prior knowledge of its connections and the producers do a very good job of making it stand on its own two feet. Now if someone could get Elizabeth Tulloch a sandwich, that would be great--I'm actually concerned with her nearly skeletal appearance!
