I was captured from the very beginning and remained so even through the credits because of the musical score that was appropriate throughout. Told from the perspective of the youngest of five sisters, it dramatized so effectively the emotional journey of these women in a repressive culture. The draw of freedom was present in the midst of the constant sense that hope was futile. It wasn’t!
