Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is a love letter to fans of the Original Super Monkey Ball games of the early 2000s. For years the franchise has struggled with releasing games that even followed the theme, mechanics and puzzle solving thrill of the original 1, 2 and Deluxe games, but Banana Mania really did well with recreating fan favorite stages from these older games. Granted, the physics aren't 100% identical to the original games, but it does a very good job of emulating them and veteran Monkey Ball fans will find it to be not much of an issue adjusting to the subtle changes as they play through 300+ levels of pure Monkey Ball goodness. I myself have had a blast with this anniversary title, bringing back great memories of playing these games as a toddler with my older siblings. My only real issues are that some of the party games aren't quite as fun as the originals, mainly Monkey Target, and the comic style cutscenes really just don't cut it for me in the storymode, remade Super Monkey Ball 2 cutscenes would've been more preferable for me. Solid 9/10 remake in my opinion.
