Wow, I'm not even sure where to begin with one. At first, I thought, "Well, this must be a 2000s comedy." then to my horror saw the actual release date. However, this makes for a pretty good screen share watch with friends for some cringe laughs. On a more serious note in terms of humor, all obscene racism and transphobia aside, it's flat out just not funny. It's like a free mic night at a crumby comedy bar where the guy goes, "Get it? Get it?" and overexplains his own joke for the whole bit. Yikes. Also, I just have to get this out there, dear LORD this guy loves to stroke his own ego. Hearing every single person the main character speaks with take his god-awful advice with NOT EVEN A CONVERSATION or natural rebuke, which could make for some actual comedy, pains me deeply. I like to think this is the one movie where if the twist at the end was this was all some dude's maladaptive daydream gone awry.
