Anyone But You is a delightfully fresh and light rom-com. It is not a deep and meaningful portrayal of Shakespeare's play 'Much Ado About Nothing' so avoid if you over-critique films in general.
The two leads have to endure one another during a gay wedding weekend and the scenes are hilarious.
I giggled at the Baywatch buffed bodies; a lot of the camera angles revealing toned muscles and skin. The location was in an opulent beachside suburb of Sydney. There was some nudity but it was always relevant to the story.
While this movie does seem to lend itself more to 18-35 audiences, at 60 I giggled in multiple scenes as the two leads and support actors were convincing.
The one thing that I would have liked to have seen is a deeper emotional range in Sydney's scenes with Glen but overall their chemistry was solid.
You know a film has hit the mark when the audience applauds at the end.
