Some spoilers!
The Island was the first book by Natasha that I read, and I have to say, I really enjoyed the book for the most part. It wasn't that surprising that Liam was the murderer, but Harper being an accomplice really threw me off.
The ending almost killed the quality of the entire book though, because it just left so many questions that we won't get answers to. Did Paisley die? Did Reeve make it out? Why'd nobody help? Is Harper actually dead? Did Liam drown with Paisley? I kinda wish that there was an epilogue that has Reeve's POV, so then we could get more answers to the dozens of unanswered questions.
I do wish that characters like Ava and James had more character development. I was pretty sad when I found out that Will died, because I was able to get time to appreciate him and enjoy his presence. All I really thought when James died was "dang" because I didn't really know him that well, and he was absent for a lot of the book.
Although I have a lot of criticism, I have to say, I really liked reading this book. I also saw that this book isn't as good as her others, so I'll definitely be reading more of her work.
