After waiting so long for this book to arrive I have to say I'm incredibly disappointed with it. 50% of the 900+ pages are "fluff and padding", doing nothing to add to the story. Favourite characters that could have been developed further are ignored and yet new characters are introduced. People die, babies are born and basically we are dragged along on a tedious journey hoping to get to a climax that never comes. The cliff hanger from book 8 still remains hanging and quite frankly waiting another 5+ years for an answer doesn't impress me. I found the constant diversion to the American war was like being forced back into a classroom. It doesn't add anything to the story and for those of us outside of the USA, is really a chore to read this stuff. I think I can happily live my life without book 10, J and C will eventually die so there you have it.
