What a waste of time. Americans can’t tell a story without extreme gratuitous violence. No, that’s wrong. They can. But the Academy Awards folks preferred a story with extreme gratuitous violence. Do we need such violence to help a mother improve her relationship with her daughter? Is that the American way... to solve problems at all levels?
