Adam is a smart, strong, clever and articulate kid. He shows sensitivity and poise. Too bad he seems doomed to grow up to be a wisecracking insensitive lout, even to his own young self, whose best traits and pain he seems to have left far behind. Good cinematography, ecffectseffectsokeffects

Terrible. Promises much early, bullies the viewer, demolishes it's own plot, ignores the conceivably redemptive theme. Then senselessly kicks everyone in the teeth. And Depp over- and under- acts, again, and still gets away with it!
