After watching a few Korean dramas, I quickly got bored. Partly because of the binge-watching nature of OTT, but also because the storylines were mostly similar, with the only novelty being the subject matter and the actors' outfits and locations. That's why "SUMMER STRIKE" is a more memorable drama. Even though the plot was subdued, I found it meaningful that living together while acknowledging the distance between us ultimately brings us peace.
Also, Seol-hyun's yoreum was simple yet sophisticated enough to feel real. Few clothes, a face without makeup, and natural hair. The innocence and uniqueness of Siwan's Daenam was well portrayed and matched Yoreum's.
I was surprised to see a murder in the movie, but maybe that's the way life is. There are so many surprising and sad things that come out of nowhere.
