This is an old Twilight Zone remake but they answered what was going on - this left it more of a mystery and slightly better. Being picky- description says “labyrinth-like neighborhood“ a labyrinth only has one way to go into the center and back- it’s a maze since it shows intersections with multiple ways - obviously the misuse of the word labyrinth “sounds better” - #StuffYouShouldKnow ;)
