Marvelous - It is an amazing adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, taking the essence of the book and expanding on it in a way that brilliantly transforms the book to the screen and allows new viewers to discover the wonders of the series while book fans get immersed in the series they fell in love with! If you look at the one star reviews, you’ll see they are filled with fans disappointed that the physical appearance of the characters was not a perfect match, the dialogue and jokes were not 1:1 with a boom from nearly 20 years ago, and that the show provided mythology context in an appropriate way for a show and not the way it was explained in writing in the book. Movie ADAPTATIONS are just that, and if you’re looking for an identical carbon copy you will be disappointed. If you’re looking for a stellar screen adaptation of an excellent series, you will enjoy it :)
