This book is great, on many levels. The descriptive language, ups and downs, twisting journey with only an outline plan to spice up the adventure make for an absorbing read. I really feel Sam’s moods as he negotiates the challenges but hugely admire his fatalistic ‘things will work out somehow’ drive to succeed. I’m about 3/4 through & totally in his journey. Recommended without hesitation.
