This film encapsulates the human feelings of grief, pain & faith more than any film I ever seen or even heard of. Jeff Bridges performance is truly remarkable. He is an instinctive Actor that just seems to feel his character and it comes out on the screen. IMO, this is the best performance of his career. I think the reason why it didn't do well at the box office, is because most people or the common movie goer doesn't really understand what true art is and didnt understand the director Peter weir's vision. The movie isn't perfect but the performances by Bridges and Perez are awe inspiring and deserved much more recognition that it received. This isnt my favorite movie, though its in my top 3. Jeff Bridges isnt my favorite actor(Meryl Streep is) but he's in my top 3 - But Jeff's performance in this movie Fearless, is the best performance I have ever seen by any actor in any movie. He just fully embodied this character in every fiber of his being. Highly recommend this movie. I was one of the fortunate people to see the movie on the big screen in its original format.
