As a long fan of the woman in black story I thought this was insulting to it. Not only could you hardly see anything going on, so had no idea what was going on or what they were jumping at. I've had more of a scare from audible books! Also apart from mentioning Nathaniel's death (as only so they can say it is part of story) there's no mention of any of the original characters (which some would have still been alive at this time period) or mention of what happened with Daniel Radcliffe character. The storyline seems more tied round the teacher who had a child taken away from her at an early age than the woman in black and the house she haunts. In this film the locals seem oblivious to the house or the ghost of the woman in black yet in the original film they were all terrified of it and anyone who goes near it in fear of the ghost. The happily ever after as well is not the type of ending you get with a horror or the essence of this story!
