Thank God there were decent human beings ( and genuine comics) like Johnny Carson and David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater for many years before Stephen Colbert came along. Kathy Griffin still holds the title of the "least funny, and the most evil, anti-christian,cold-hearted person" who professes to love America. It is hard to top her anti - American threat to America, the president, and the President's family with her definitely NOT FUNNY skit about beheading the president. Anyone else would have gotten a lot of jail time for making such threats. Colbert stops short of suggesting an actual beheading of the president, but he makes no effort to hide his complete and utter hatred for Mr. Trump. He is so obsessed with that hatred, it includes Mr. Trump's entire family, even little Barron who is an innocent by-stander. I think it would be impossible for Cobert to get through one show without abusing the Trumps in some way. I was a Democrat, but the more corrupt and immoral the party became, and the more they changed the constitution and tried to erase history, the more trust I had for the party. I voted for Mr Trump only because I was less afraid of the damage he would do to our country than what Hillary would do. Every previous president (regardless of the party) was at least given a chance to try to do the job. But this time the democrats became petulant little bullies determined to block every effort he made to help our country simply because it was something he wanted done. They were even wanting the wall until he won the election by promising us the wall. Suddenly, they no longer wanted rhe wall. They denied Christians to honor their faith in schools, but allowed Muslims to practice their religion and even allowed it to be taught to students that didn't want it. Colbert (says he is Catholic) but loves to ridicule God and christianity as often as possible, and makes derogatory remarks about everyone. It is not funny to demean the looks, or anything else over which a peron has no control. Even though I try to do the right thing, I don't always succeed, but I still believe in the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" or treat others as you would want them to treat you and your loved ones. Can you honestly say you love God and want to unite our country, when your actions and your language portray the opposite?
