it's a farce, meant to be a farce, a well done farce - and has enough laugh out loud scenes to justify spending the time to watch it. We'd expect Goldie Hawn in this casting, but Bruce and Meryl certainly earn points for stepping outside their ordinary range of tropes. The melodrama is so ridiculous that it somehow works beyond all reason. Your mileage may vary, though. Isabella Rossellini is so devastatingly gorgeous as to defy belief. The whole thing is goofy as hell, but fun. Don't look for anything beyond that.
