If you're looking for an origin to Heath Ledger's Joker this is a great movie. If you're hoping for something that builds on the lure of what the Joker is, or where he came from you might be disappointed. The movie's story arc is a lot like watching an avalanche or knowing a car crash is about to happen. Slowly building until it finally happens. There is no real surprises just waiting for the inevitable fall.
