Too busy in dance scenes, some parts totally unbelievable. When would a group of boys in a gang be left alone in a police room with desk and papers? Even back then? Then they just walk out? Hard to truly enjoy the “I’m so pretty” after the rumble already ended. The end was so fast, lost some of the drama and emotion of Maria. This movie had some great elements but it was paced like a remake that jumped to deliver the great score of songs, dancing, and the key points of the story line. Disappointed overall but I think the best scene was when Ms Moreno sang and depth of emotion and thought she provoked. THAT part was timed well.
