Vulnerable, collaborative, creative and expressive, Jon uses every inch of his musical ability and soul in this recipe that is- honestly- one of the most flavorful albums I have ever had the privilege of listening to 💜

From a directorial and acting perspective, this film is intoxicating. Cate Blanchette carves out even more (as if she hasn’t enough already) of her groove as an actress for the ages. Stunning and powerful. Convincing, intimate, nuanced and utterly believable. A true gem of a film if only for that. The script has gaps and, I agree, some missed opps, but really, it is so beautifully shot- and people can pick apart anything like vultures. My heart swelled not only to the music, but to the incredible performances of the artists who were cast. Bravo!
