It could have been scripted better, in my opinion. I don't believe a father would leave his other children behind when his condition is barely fifty percent. I didn't like how after the tsunami went through, Lucas was overpowering his mother. Lucas also, with no rest and one-third of a cola and part of a small orange, goes out with tremendous energy and takes on multiple tasks. His two siblings have absolutely no cuts or bruises, while the rest of the family has enormous amounts of cuts, bruises, and broken bones.
