This show is so damn perfect.
I helped my father help farmers When I was a kid. Being familiar with the struggles of that life, it always feels like nobody else understands unless they've been in it. When I was around 9 or 10, I discovered Top Gear and was immediately enthralled. It shaped about half what my opinions and tastes would become in cars and car culture, the other half shaped by my father. With my dad being a little bit older the most, it was difficult to find things to share common interest in. Top Gear was one of the few. We would watch it every Sunday and laugh. Hysterically. Even though we were in Canada and had a completely different approach to appreciating vehicles, the show was so well done, it didn't matter that they spoke different and had different tastes.
Fast forward a couple decades and a lot of things changed. But this show has given me so much joy that I pray that Amazon continues to commission it for as long as possible.
Thank you Jeremy for continuing to entertain us in some of the most fascinating ways possible.
