It is obvious the politics of today have greatly affected this show. Unlike Band of Brothers which was pre-9/11, they take great care in using words like "Germans and women". I don't think even Germans called themselves Germans at that point. The first show was exactly like the second and that was like the third. However, the fourth seemed to add a little more than just flying computer effects and the party after. Anyone can watch a movie from that era and get a sense of how people interacted. As far as Band of Brothers, this is just a template of that. The main chars identically match while leaving out most of the other cast. After the first Band of Brothers, you knew everyone's personality and truly no show was the same as any other. They need to concentrate on character development and keep to the times rather than spend 250M dollars on video game graphics.
