Yesterday I was watching Immortal Beloved and wasn't too kind so I deleted my comments. The film is excellent and a lot is taken from the works of Ken Russell's Mahler and The Music Lovers which is no bad thing. I will look at Bernard Rose's other films now. Gary Oldman is excellent and most of the cast too but some over act somewhat.

Wow! I'm still reeling and scratching my head. I certainly need to watch it again because I kept asking myself 'What's going on!" It is a film that certainly has the brain cells working overtime and I love that.

Great concept about the origins of Joker and very dark indeed. Joaquin Phoenix is absolutely incredible.
