I had originally watched Evening Shade when it came to broadcast television, and now I have recently bought all the seasons through Amazon. And the best way I can describe Evening Shade, is a breath of fresh air in these trying times, the cast fit their parts perfectly. Its a modern version of The Andy Griffith Show in a lot of ways, but Burt Reynold, Charles Durning, Hal Holbrook, and Michael Jeter bring a whole new look at small town living that works. Not many current shows make me laugh, but this one brings a smile to my face every time I watch it. And the many guest stars and direction by Harry Thomason will make this show live in our hearts for a very long time.
