Honestly it was really enjoyable with it entirely being around Superman but still having other people getting their time to shine. The side characters were amazing and it felt like a proper comic book movie. There were some pacing issues but tbh you wouldn’t mind them since so many things are going on you’ll always be entertained. Krypto had more screen time and a role in the plot than I thought he would. Lex Luthor was an amazing antagonist in this one as he was always constantly hating and not just through his words but actions. This movie focuses on Superman’s overall reputation AND character which makes the character Superman really complex and deep with what his ideology truly is. The cgi is incredible and probably one of the best in superhero movies. The action is crazy good as well. The movie also has a romantic focus to it which pays off in the end which is enough for me to shed a tear. Mr terrific was terrific in the movie and got to aura farm so many times. Guy Gardner was also very comic accurate from his looks to his personality and his powers looking stunning. Whenever Superman saves someone I was always grinning. This is a proper Superman film and an excellent superhero movie. I heard hawkgirl isn’t utilized much but I would say she has as much screen time as Guy Gardner and she even does an important thing in the story. I didn’t really like Lois’s character in this movie but her acting was really good. Clark Kent was also done properly. David did an outstanding job at playing Superman as well and got properly portrayed as a man who helps. The real world is facing illegal immigration controversy and so does Superman in the movie. The humor I thought was good and wasn’t childish or corny. It’s a well done James Gunn film I would say a little bit below GOTG 3 . There were a couple side plots as well but they were good. This Superman is also shown to actually struggle which also makes the audience relate to him more as a character instead of an all powerful alien. There are also a few cameos of characters in this universe. There is a complex story but simple as a plot. This movie really shaped Superman’s character really well. Superman’s suit also looks like the best comic book suit imo.
