Pulls you in pretty quickly, if a little confusing at first, unless maybe you read the books. Cute upbeat fantasy film that keeps you entertained. I just wish the secondary senior players had more of a major impact and were more fleshed out as to their powers and place in the movie. Maybe they're holding them back for sequels. The ending definitely leaves that option open. All in all worth the time to watch.

Light hearted, rom/com romp. Was not what I was expecting. Pleasantly surprised. The Dog and Crab stole the movie. Semi believable, could happen and it just goes to show how unprepared people could get a lot of others killed. Still quite a few laughs to be had and worth a second watch at some point. Seriously LOVED the DOG

Enjoyable, but predictable. Bill Nighy was a highlight. Fight and gun scenes are basically non existent. Still it wasn't completely unpleasant. Not worth a second watch though.

Australia's version of Northern Exposure mixed with Doc Hollywood. Wacky characters, dysfunctional town full of eccentrics

One of the first ones I watched on Acorn Channel. I loved the scenery and the witty British banter. I thoughly enjoyed it and was sorry to hear it was not returning for more seasons.

I really like Jane Seymour, and if you're a fan of Murder She Wrote this is right up your alley.

SKIP The Vanishing Triangle, Total Waste of Time. A bit repetitive in the characters acting. Journalist diving into trouble without telling anyone, married detective hiding he's gay, partner hiding he's the killer, and the rest of the department running a illegal teenager brothel. It never does show any ending. You don't know if the girls are rescued, or the killer brought to justice. Or what happened to the original kidnapped girl, or why he killed the journalist's mother, or why her father was framed for murder, It just leaves you hanging. It really is a waste of time watching it. Now trying The Heart Guy, Australia's version of Northern Exposure. On Acorn TV

Too long, no point. If I paid to see this in a theater I'd want my money back, and the time I wasted.2 hours and 20 minutes tooooo long.
