It's been a good while since I have last read the book, so keep that in mind.
The story follows a girl - iirc, 18 at best- who is like raised by the big shot assassin guy in the whole city, so therefore she is the best assassin in the entire story. But the thing is. Rarely does the reader ever actually see her do anything that she claimed to be.
She's also incredibly arrogant and full of herself, and since it's first person perspective, it makes it incredibly difficult to relate to her unless you're of similar mind or just able to tolerate her.
**SPOILER** In the end I only stayed for ONE CHARACTER, the only character who was able to humble our protagonist, someone who nicely contrasted her high and mighty attitude with their realistic thinking, only to be killed at the very last moment for no good reason other than to act as a plot device for the protagonist.
So, safe to say that I dropped this book.
