This book is so contradictory to the previous two books by Dan Brown. And the biggest, most frustrating contradiction is the stubborn skepticism of Robert Langdon. The man who in the previous two adventures has already experienced the incredible secrets and legends which he once himself ridiculed as impossible. It's beyond frustrating to read his absolute denial of the possibility of Ancient Mysteries in this book. Yes, he has valid doubts in the beginning everytime but he has proven himself to be open minded to shocking possibilities once shown the light. And yet in this book he just remains stupidly adamant that a map is impossible, and the destination is impossible. So annoying and so not him. And it doesn't add any angle to the story too. Dont even feel like finishing it after 300 pages of vehement denial.
