The filmmaker has brilliantly ripped off “Kill Bill” “The Matrix” “Player One” and who knows how many others. The fact that this movie is the most awarded by the Academy is a testament to his brilliance. This blatant affront to cinema, that the Academy so readily consumed and praised should be a warning siren to all that give any weight to their findings. The filmmaker had no intention of telling the audience a story. He astutely made a mockery of American cinema as well as anyone who didn’t see this incredible farce for what it was.
The critics that share the sentiment of the Academy, with regards to this movie, are amongst those that would argue “Avatar” is not a thinly veiled adaptation of “Pocahontas”.
For this film to be compared to any of those that it is so obviously derived if not overtly copied is lazy at best and possibly more accurately described as idiotic.
