I have read almost all of Colleen's books and she's one of my favorites. I was ecstatic to finally read this book, but it ended up being a total disappointment to me. I found this book to be boring and repetitive of the first two books in this series. Throughout the book, Will and Lake are on their honeymoon, they are having a conversation reflecting on the past. The questions throughout their conversation are prompted by flashbacks from Will's POV on every event from the moment they first met. I felt like this book was just a recap of everything we already read about in the first two books.
I was hoping to read about Will and Lake settling into married life and the challenges we all face in relationships when the honeymoon period wears off and kids take over, a backstory about the pregnancy, a major relocation, their careers, or something new and exciting happening in their lives over the past 3 years of marriage. But all we received was a re-run from the past.
Do you guys remember the flashback episodes from Golden Girls, Friends, and all our other beloved TV series??? Well, that's exactly the premise of this 3rd book.
I do recommend you read this book to come to your own conclusion. But I only wished I knew I was getting a complete re-run before I purchased it.
