Powerful and inspiring I was not ready for Barbie. I came in thinking it would be a funny film with some sneaky jokes and comments, but was I wrong. It was a powerful wakeup call and shout to women everywhere to accept yourself and dream, and that you don't need others approval to love yourself. It also was a callout to America and its strong patriarchy that us women have to face everyday. I have huge respect for warner brothers and Mattel to truly show what being a women is like and not sugar coating it. Also this movie is NOT anti-men it IS anti toxic masculinity and IS pro women and if anyone has an issue with that enough said.
