The most disappointing production in all our many visits to Verona. Messy staging with the members of the chorus wandering about aimlessly in barely discernable patterns. None of the voices apart from Amneris was strong enough to be heard over the orchestra at times, and this is a skilled orchestra under the delicate hand of Armiliato. The excessive glitter and metallic fabric costumes distracted from the music. We were not disappointed to be rained out at the intersection vsl.
