Although I enjoyed it, the movie itself was a little long and drawn out. There were too many close up shots of characters and the camera fixed on them. I know the director wanted the audience to feel the emotion, but the message was already there, no need to focus on each character so many times. Having lived through it all, it was interesting to go.back and reflect on how history played out.

Most of the movie dragged on with the exception of the delivery room scene, where I felt so sorry for Cleo. The doctor and nurses were dismissive toward her after the stillborn birth. The other two scenes that held my attention were in the furniture store and, of course, at the beach. I was very disappointed with the ending. After seeing Bohemian Rhapsody and Vice, I don't understand how Roma could beat either as best picture.
