A very solid, cohesive and compelling life story seemingly told with honesty and vulnerability. The portion of the book about Jada's youth spent in Baltimore was extremely potent and at times, very fun to read. Her relationship with so many of Hollywood's black elite at such a pivotal moment in both film and hip hop history allowed Jada to drop some real gems and stories that were also very fun to read. The latter half of the book became a little slow at times for me but overall I very much enjoyed book. For fans or those simply trying to get a better understanding of Jada and Will's relationship and her career, this book definitely served it's purpose. If you're looking for a lot of mudslinging or vitriol from a tell-all, this is probably not the book for you.
