It's a disappointment. The first two seasons are great, but everything goes downhill from there. Marinette is a stalker and abuses her powers to do illegal things while verbally and physically harming her so-called 'partner' as Ladybug. Adrien wasn't present for the ending of his own arc. Hawkmoth was a villain for five seasons, and somehow, wasn't able to win. It's unrealistic for the conflict to drag out this long, and for adrienette to drag out even longer. The ending is unsatisfying, most loose ends never get closure, and characters with great potential are thrown away (ahem, Luka) or replaced (ahem, Chloe) Makes me want to switch on Cartoon Network, even Teen Titans Go has better character development and consistency.

My younger brother found Embarrassment to be the only interesting character. Envy was cute but felt empty. Anxiety was rude, dismissive and at times came off as a complete and utter saboteur. As for Ennui, pardon the pun, but boredom was utterly boring. Why aren't these emotions present in other people? Why is there no guilt? Love? Calm? Surprise? Confusion? People have a huge range of emotions. I loved three points. The brainstorm was creative. I loved the idea of the different ideas being represented by what emotion they would cause. I also loved the sense of self. The way core memories slowly lose importance, and the beliefs and sense of self become more important seem very realistic, and I love the concept. However, on that note, I dislike that it's the emotions that get to choose which memories form beliefs. And finally, I enjoyed Nostalgia. Only character that accurately represented their emotion. The rest of the movie is a wreck. So many side plots to elaborate on, and a ridiculous amount of unanswered questions about why Riley had different gendered emotions. Seems like a better movie idea than a repeat of the first movie. Pixar missed the mark. I hope Inside Out 3 will save us from this boring attempt at a worthy sequel
